Our Pastor and Committees

                                       BITTERSWEET GOODBYE!

Porchtown Church has journeyed with Pastor Heidi Bak for the past 8 years and it has been a wonderful time of change and growth. However, like Moses, Pastor Heidi is not going to "cross the Jordan" with us. Now it is God's time for us to change teachers and move on. We wish Pastor Heidi well on her new journey as she has been reassigned to First United Methodist Church in Hightstown, NJ., starting July 1, 2010.

                                       WELCOME PASTOR PETE!

On July 1, 2010, we welcomed our new minister, Rev. Peter J. Broomall Sr. who has been pastor of Malaga UMC for the past 3 years. We now enjoy a Shared Ministry with Malaga UM Church. Pastor Pete's leads our Saturday night services at 6 p.m. and our 10:30 a.m. Sunday Traditional Worship Services. Our Early Sunday Bible Study (with lay leaders) now starts at 9 a.m. Those who come early for the 10:30 service are welcome to join the Sunday School in progress in the sanctuary (where it is cooler!). We invite everyone to come out to meet/ greet Pastor Pete as he takes the staff and leads us across the Jordan.

In the meantime we have a Transition Team, under the leadership of Brittney Pantelione, that will do everything in its power to help make this transition as smoothe as possible for everyone. Please don't hesitate to ask questions of our team members (see their names in the right-hand column) or Brittney as we cross the Jordan together without fear or discouragement.
