Life Coach Testimonies

“I read about the Life Coaching ministry in this publication several months ago and was immediately interested. I have always found the support of other women very beneficial and I liked the concept of a Christian–based program. I was also looking for a church as I had recently relocated.

Well I haven’t been disappointed. Eileen is my Life Coach and she is just a delight. She has helped me become more grounded and focused on my faith and encourages me to recognize and own my values. As many of us do, I question myself and my decisions at times and worry needlessly about things that are truly out of my control. Talking with Eileen is like looking in a mirror and remembering that we are all on this journey together. I find that both comforting and freeing.”        ~ Debbie

“My decision to seek life coaching has been the best decision I have made in my adult life.  After my breast cancer diagnosis and surgery, Life Coach Ministry helped me find the compassion and guidance I needed to move forward. Coaches Pastor Heidi, Eileen and Christine have given me a renewed faith in God and confidence in myself that I did not have before. I now feel I have a purpose in life and find myself more loving and forgiving. I handle problems and setbacks with faith and love instead of despair. I thank God every day for my life coaches.”         ~ Joann

“During a period of transition and hardship, I was suddenly drawn to an article in the Women’s Journal detailing an outreach program at Porchtown Zion United Methodist Church called Life Coach Ministry. The coaches inspired me to become the best I can be by sharing with me their extensive knowledge and background in spreading God’s love through this beneficial and much needed ministry.

Through our visits, I have found new friendship with women that I can relate to as we share our life’s changes together and learn new coping skills. The encouragement and support I have received reminds me of the accomplishments I am capable of and of my worthiness as a unique individual.

Without Life Coach Ministry in my life I would not have reached the threshold of patience I am now blessed with and practice. As I experience this wonderful new realm of understanding, I encourage any woman finding herself in need of non-judgmental guidance to contact Life Coach Ministry. Without a doubt, as I learn to explore and accept my new beliefs, I have found a peace through God. Thank you for an awesome opportunity to spread the word of God’s love.”             ~ Michelle

Where Women Grow in Faith and Life

Put A New Spring in Your Step!

AC Woman Journal March/April 2010
A Joyful Heart

OK! It’s time to put the winter blahs behind you and work on building a better outlook on life. Warmer days and budding flowers traditionally offer new hope and the desire to turn your life around to be happier and healthier. A truly joyful heart starts from within and bubbles out as if you can’t hold it back. If this is something you strive for and you are willing to do some real soul-searching to work toward a newfound joy, Life Coaching could be for you.

What’s Life Coaching?

As an outreach program of Porchtown Zion United Methodist Church in Franklin Township, Life Coach Ministry offers spiritual support and guidance through non-denominational, Christian help and hope. Coaches Rev. Heidi Bak, Eileen Oczkowski and Christine Abrahims minister to individual women who seek to improve their lives by using scripture, prayers, encouragement and other soul-searching techniques.

Different Options

Although the coaches at Life Coach Ministry prefer to meet with each woman in person at Porchtown Church, coaching by phone is a viable alternative. In addition to being convenient, phone coaching expands the ministry’s horizon beyond the local community to reach more women. A wonderful compromise is to meet at the church initially to get acquainted and then correspond by phone thereafter. This offers the best of both worlds by meeting in God’s house first - which is more friendly and spiritual - with the opportunity to personally embrace, encourage and empower.

What to Expect

Most coaching sessions are about an hour long with the initial visit sometimes taking a little longer as you get acquainted. Once you establish which areas in life you wish to improve – and the obstacles you need to overcome – your coach will help you determine a plan of action to achieve your goals. Life coaching typically includes brainstorming, values clarification, self-examining “homework,” and visioning techniques. Your coach will help you stay on task and remain accountable as you learn the skills you need to succeed in your endeavors.

Life Coach Primer

When an athlete wants to achieve success in her sport, she seeks a coach to guide and challenge her to perform at her best. Likewise, if a woman strives for the best out of life, she works with a Life Coach who will empower her to become accountable and pro-active toward reaching her goals.

Counseling First?

When someone has issues like illness, abuse, abandonment, relational or financial concerns, she needs to resolve them first through doctors, counselors, therapists or crisis agencies before considering life coaching. A healthy mental state and a willingness to try some new plans of action are key foundations for coaching.

Coaching Readiness

If you can answer yes to the following questions, life coaching could be for you:

1. Are there one or more areas in your life that you wish to improve?

2. Are you willing to allow a coach into your life to help you?

3. Are you ready to make changes and think about things differently?

The Christian Difference

While traditional coaches might define success in terms of personal achievements, status, income or possessions, Christian coaches empower you toward achieving personal excellence. By celebrating your true worth, you find an inner peace and joy that helps you live a victorious life in all of your endeavors.

Free Will Donations

Life Coach Ministry is a non-profit organization that offers its services free of charge. Donations from clients and benefactors to help defray the cost of materials and supplies are always appreciated. Contact the ministry for details on how you can help.
